Reiki Level 1 is a virtual course (with an in-person Attunement option) that unfolds over a matter of weeks. Level 1 is a practitioner's initiation into Reiki and is open to anyone.

The focus during Level 1 is on opening the energy channels on a physical level, allowing the practitioner to connect to the universal life force energy, which flows from the collective energy field through the crown of the head and down to the heart and hands for their own self-healing.

At Modern Reiki, we believe that this is a journey. It’s a daily devotion that creates full embodiment of each concept. Reiki is not a quick fix—it’s a way of being.

Reiki Level 2 is where your journey as a healer deepens—where energy work becomes not just something you do, but something you are. This training expands your practice beyond self-healing and opens the door to sharing Reiki professionally, both in person and from a distance.

Reiki Level 2 deepens everything you began in Level 1.

Level 1 opens the channel, Level 2 strengthens it—expanding your capacity to work with energy beyond the physical body and into the emotional, mental, and spiritual realms.

This is where your practice becomes more intentional, more intuitive, and more powerful.

In Level 2, you learn the sacred Reiki symbols—tools that amplify your energy, heighten your sensitivity, and allow you to access deeper layers of healing. You step into the frequency of emotional clearing, mental reprogramming, and distance healing, discovering that energy is not bound by time or space.

This level invites you into a new relationship with your intuition.

Reiki Level 3 [Master & Teacher Training]

The Reiki Master level training holds significant importance in the practice of Reiki, it represents the highest level of expertise and attunement in Reiki, signifying a deep understanding of the energy system and the ability to attune others to Reiki energy.

As we go on this journey together, you will strengthen your knowledge, gain advanced healing abilities, increase your spiritual awareness, and cultivate an even more profound connection to the universal life force—I know it’s hard to conceptualize even MORE magic, but truly, it arrives.

As you learn to pass on your knowledge and attune others to Reiki, you are a direct contributor to the spread and continuation of this holistic healing practice. Even if you choose to opt out of training or certifying others at this time, your own practice grows in strength as you are directly attuned to the highest level of channeling this work.

The training and five-month mentorship container includes learning the advanced symbol, meditation techniques, and energy healing methods, empowering practitioners to further enhance their healing skills and share the benefits of Reiki with others.

As you learn to hold even bigger space for others, it washes over every other aspect of your life.

Basic Structure & Overview—

Two 90-minute group calls per month [one is curriculum focused, the other is integration, practicing our work, and Q&A]
One 30-minute 1:1 call per month [booked according to your availability]
Level 3 Attunement Retreat Weekend
Invitation to Attend & Shadow the Level 1 & a Level 2 Attunement Weekends [I highly suggest attending at least ONE Level 1 Retreat, this is not mandatory]. The Level 3 Attunement dates are scheduled around these trainings for easy accessibility and scheduling.

We will be choosing set call dates & times once all students are enrolled. As this container is much more intimate, we work together to co-create the best schedule. I will send out two options to choose your preference.

Schedule for Summer/Fall 2026—

We will be kicking off the next Reiki Level 3 training in July of 2026.

This five-month training starts on July 8th, 2026 and will conclude at the end of November 2026. Calls will be the first & third Wednesday of the month from 12:30-1:30pm.

You may choose to receive your Level 3 Attunement at any of the upcoming Attunement opportunities in 2026. Students enrolled with our Reiki Level 3 program are also invited to join any Level 1 or Level 2 training call to provide energetic support and to shadow the program.

Course Options

To receive your certification, you must be Attuned.

A Reiki Attunement is a ceremony or process in which a Reiki Master or teacher initiates a student into the practice of Reiki.

During a Reiki Attunement, the Reiki Master uses rituals, symbols, and energetic transmissions to empower the student's ability to connect with and channel Reiki energy. At Modern Reiki, we guide the student through meditation, visualization, and the use of specific hand positions.

The Attunement opens and cleanses the student's energy channels, enhancing their sensitivity to Reiki energy and enabling them to act as a conduit for its flow. It's a deeply spiritual experience, where students may feel sensations of warmth, tingling, or a sense of peace and clarity. Over the past five years, we have yet to see a student have a similar experience, they are all so sacred and unique.

For our Level 1 course, you have the option to attend our in-person Attunement retreat or opt for a virtual Attunement ceremony facilitated over Zoom. For Levels 2 & 3, all Attunements are facilitated in-person.

Reiki Level 1 is for everyone. In Level 1 you learn profound self-healing techniques to calm the nervous system, activate your powerful intuition, and basic practices to integrate into your career, business, family, and personal relationships.
One of the most important aspects of the first degree of Reiki is the attunement process. Attunements are a ritual that allows the student to connect with the Reiki energy and become a channel for it. This is done by the Reiki Master, who will place their hands on various points of the student's body and perform a series of symbols and mantras.
No. This is the introductory and beginner course for anyone interested in pursuing an energetic healing practice for their own healing journey or the first step in becoming a Reiki practitioner for others.
You will receive your certificate stating that you’re officially proficient in Reiki Level 1 after your sacred Attunement ceremony and confirmation that you have completed all four weeks of virtual training.
After your Attunement ceremony, You will start a 21 day cleansing and detoxification cycle through the chakras. The Reiki Attunement has a powerful healing influence on the mind, body and spirit, activating all seven chakras, beginning with the root, and ending at the crown chakra — each one taking approximately twenty-four hours. This happens three times.
